National Food Security and Nutrition Mission: Cluster Demonstrations: Grants are provided at Rs. 9,000 per hectare for rice, wheat, and pulses; Rs. 7,500 for maize, barley, and nutri-cereals; Rs. 11,500 for hybrid varieties; Rs. 15,000 per hectare for crop-method-based cluster demonstrations; and Rs. 7,500 per hectare for cluster demonstrations of Shri Anna – sorghum, pearl millet, small millet, and kodon. Quality/Certified Seed Distribution: Under this, grants are provided for rice and wheat seeds of improved varieties (less than 10 years old) at Rs. 2,000 per quintal, varieties older than 10 years at Rs. 1,000 per quintal, and for rice, hybrid maize, barley, nutri-cereals (hybrid varieties of sorghum, pearl millet, small millet, and kodon) at Rs. 10,000 per quintal or 50% of the fixed price, whichever is lower.
Use of micronutrients/gypsum/sulfur/organic fertilizers/agricultural pesticides/bio-agents/herbicides: A subsidy of Rs. 2500 per hectare or 50 percent of the cost, whichever is less, is provided to obtain higher crop yields through the use of micronutrients/gypsum/sulfur/organic fertilizers/agricultural pesticides/bio-agents/herbicides.
