Farmer Producer Organization: To increase the income of farmers and realize the farsighted goals of their socio-economic upliftment/progress, the Government of Uttar Pradesh is organizing farmers into Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and making efforts to enhance their income. Under the Drishti Scheme, a grant of Rs. 60 lakh per unit has been provided to 100 FPOs for the construction of seed processing plants and storage facilities. The FPOs formed by the implementing agency selected by the Government of India and the State Government are provided management financial assistance of up to Rs. 18 lakh over 3 years. Similarly, selected CBBOs supporting the FPOs are also provided management financial assistance of up to Rs. 25 lakh for a period of 5 years.
