The Ghaziabad Judgeship came into existence on 14-11-1976 vide notification No. 7022/VII-A.N.358/76 dated 13-11-1976. The district of Ghaziabad was also formed on the same day. Ghaziabad judgeship was bifurcated from the Meerut Judgeship. There are two outlying courts functional at Hapur and Garhmukteshwar.At the headquarters at Ghaziabad the Court started functioning from the court campus at Model Town, Gandhinagar.
